Today, I want to announce that we have bought Minecraft-Essentials and are offically deprecating this library.

A little infomation about Minecraft-Essentials, it was a library we have been using for a long time and it was a perfect library that I wanted to introduce everywhere, it offered Authentification, Launching the game, Modrinth and Curseforge API support. However the sad realiaity is that today Minecraft-Essentials last update is a year and 7 months, I was doing this for free and it’s ever slowly increasing tech debt in our launcher ecosystem. I would have to add features to minecraft-essentials then use cargo to point it to a git repo, it was just a pain. The time has changed, TeaClient has been in the back of my mind and our mission to bring out, because we love developing TeaClient and I am commited to bring this soon as possible.

It’s time that we deprecate Minecraft-Essentials and intergrate the Features that Minecraft-Essentials has given us in our launcher so we can get TeaClient Out! If your curious about finding our deprecated/archived docs site it can be found here
